How Death Prophet and Clockwerk perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Death Prophet and Clockwerk win 47.20% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 6,638 matches.
Trapping a target in Cogs for an Exorcism seems like a clear win. In practice, the two heroes can have conflicting goals for a teamfight. Clockwerk excels at using Hookshot to find an isolated pickoff, and he often has enough damage with Battery Assault to handle that target himself. Death Prophet, however, gets the most from her ultimate when she's in the middle of the fight, letting ghosts damage multiple heroes or pressure a tower. Using a full Exorcism to secure Clockwerk's single kill can feel inefficient and leave her out of position for the real battle. Their plans do not always line up, leading to awkward engagements.
