How Death Prophet and Templar Assassin perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Death Prophet and Templar Assassin win 45.39% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 8,101 matches.
Setting up kills for Templar Assassin requires isolating a target she can burst down quickly. Death Prophet, on the other hand, wants to activate Exorcism and run at the whole enemy team, creating a chaotic, long-lasting brawl. Their tempos clash completely. Templar Assassin wants to play around her short Refraction cooldowns, while Death Prophet commits to a long fight with her ultimate. Because both heroes are often played as greedy cores from the same lane, they end up competing for farm and space on the map. Instead of enabling each other, they pull the game in two different directions, making it difficult to execute a coherent strategy.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
