Death Prophet + Ursa

Why this works

Thinking you can run over the enemy with two aggressive mid-game heroes is a common trap. The problem is that Death Prophet and Ursa want to accomplish different things with their power spikes. Death Prophet wants to group the team, use Exorcism, and methodically take down towers. Ursa is looking to find isolated heroes, pop Overpower, and secure quick kills to build a lead. They also lack the hard lockdown to enable each other. Death Prophet's Silence is useful, but it doesn't hold anyone in place for Ursa to connect and build up Fury Swipes.

What happens is your team hits the mid-game and gets pulled in two directions. Death Prophet might be trying to force a fight at a tower while Ursa is hunting in the enemy jungle or taking Roshan. A smart opponent will exploit this by either kiting the five-man push or ganking the separated Ursa. This forces your team to play one-dimensionally, either sacrificing Ursa’s pickoff potential to protect the push or giving up objectives to follow his lead. The heroes end up competing for tempo rather than creating it together.
