Disruptor + Lina

Why this works

Picking these two heroes together banks on an easy setup for Lina's Light Strike Array, but the spell combination can be awkward. Disruptor's own Glimpse into Kinetic Field combo often provides more than enough lockdown time, which can make Lina’s stun feel redundant. If the enemy is already trapped in the Static Storm, they probably would have died to Lina’s full combo anyway. Relying on a solo Glimpse to set up the stun is also less reliable than it seems, as the timing window is tight. Both heroes primarily output magic damage, so opponents can counter the entire strategy with a single Pipe of Insight or early Black King Bars.

During the mid-game, a successful gank from this pair can feel powerful. A long-range Glimpse lets Lina walk up and unload everything for a guaranteed kill. The problem is that experienced teams learn to play apart, making it hard for Disruptor to find a good initiation. If the initial burst from Static Storm and Laguna Blade doesn't secure the kill, both Lina and Disruptor are left quite vulnerable. They lack escapes and sustained damage, making it easy for the remaining enemies to turn the fight around once their key spells are on cooldown.
