Disruptor + Lion

Why this works

Picking both of these supports for their lockdown potential often looks better on paper than it feels in-game. While a Glimpse can set up Lion's stuns, both heroes are fundamentally trying to do the same job: disable a single enemy. This leads to a lot of redundancy. The team gets an excess of single-target control but often lacks other crucial elements like wave clear, a way to save caught-out cores, or the ability to siege towers. Their abilities can also feel awkward together, with Kinetic Field sometimes making it harder for Lion to land a follow-up stun or Finger of Death.

As a game progresses, this composition can struggle to create space. Both Disruptor and Lion need items like Blink Dagger to be effective initiators, and they can't both get the farm they need in a timely manner. The team might secure an early kill, but then find themselves unable to push the advantage because they can't clear creep waves quickly. An enemy team can exploit this by splitting their attention, knowing that this duo can only lock down one hero at a time, leaving the rest of the map open.
