Disruptor + Shadow Fiend

Why this works

Getting caught by a Glimpse feels bad, but it doesn't always lead to a kill when the follow-up is from Shadow Fiend. The core idea is for Disruptor to use Kinetic Field to trap an enemy for easy Shadowrazes. The problem is that the trap doesn't stun, giving the target a small window to react with a defensive spell or item. Unless Disruptor also commits Static Storm for its silence, the kill isn't guaranteed. This makes the combo less reliable for simple pickoffs and more dependent on having both of their ultimates ready to go.

Since Shadow Fiend usually takes the mid lane, these two heroes often play apart for the first part of the game. Their success depends on linking up effectively during mid-game rotations. If either hero falls behind, the whole plan falls apart; a poor Shadow Fiend won't have the damage for a meaningful Requiem of Souls, and a poor Disruptor can't provide enough control. Aware of this, opponents can focus on ganking the fragile Shadow Fiend early on or simply play spread out later to limit the impact of Disruptor's area control.
