Disruptor + Pangolier

Why this works

Rolling Thunder’s tendency to scatter enemies makes it difficult to land a good combo for Disruptor. The ideal Static Storm and Kinetic Field want to trap targets in a small area, but Pangolier’s ultimate actively pushes them out of the damage and silence. While a well-timed Glimpse can set up a kill, the core teamfight abilities of these two heroes often work against each other. This forces them to play out of sync, with one hero often having to hold their ultimate or use it on a secondary target, splitting the team’s focus when it matters most.

This pairing often has to choose between ganking and teamfighting. Early on, a Glimpse can bring an enemy back for Pangolier to Swashbuckle onto, securing a straightforward kill. As the game goes on, however, their conflicting goals become more apparent. The Pangolier wants to initiate with his ultimate and cause chaos, while the Disruptor wants to control a specific zone. The result is that they can feel less impactful together in large five-on-five engagements than they would with other partners who either follow up on the chaos or help lock targets down in one spot.
