Disruptor + Riki

Why this works

Drafting these two heroes often hinges on whether you can execute their combo. On paper, Disruptor provides the perfect setup for Riki. A successful Glimpse brings an enemy right back into a waiting Smoke Screen, and layering Static Storm over that creates a kill zone where targets are silenced and trapped. This lets Riki freely attack without worrying about being stunned or disabled. The core concept is straightforward: Disruptor locks a target down with his spells, and Riki provides the physical damage to secure the kill inside that window of control.

The reality of a match, however, is that their playstyles don't always align perfectly. Riki is an opportunist who excels at finding his own pickoffs, often jumping a target before Disruptor can get into position for a full spell combination. While a big Static Storm is great, Riki’s own Smoke Screen already provides a silence, making the spells a bit redundant in a small skirmish. Riki often benefits more from a support who can save him or provide sustain, neither of which is Disruptor's specialty. As a result, while their lockdown potential is there, it doesn't come together reliably enough to define most games.
