Why this works

Drafting this pair is a bet on locking down specific, high-priority targets. The core idea is for Disruptor to use Glimpse or Kinetic Field to trap an enemy. This gives Slark a stationary target to Pounce onto, ensuring he can build his Essence Shift stacks without a long chase. Glimpse is especially useful, as it can pull a hero back from a Force Staff or blink, letting Slark finish what he started. The setup is straightforward on paper, but it relies on Disruptor landing the initial spell and having good vision.

This combo is most effective during mid-game ganks where the goal is picking off split-pushers or out-of-position supports. A successful Glimpse-into-Pounce can secure a kill that might otherwise get away. However, the plan can fall apart if the enemy team stays grouped up. In larger teamfights, Disruptor may need his spells for defensive peeling, and Slark can be stunned and burst before the lockdown has any real effect. The success of the duo often depends more on the enemy's mistakes than their own inherent power.
