How Dragon Knight and Grimstroke perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Dragon Knight and Grimstroke win 54.95% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 30,471 matches.
Getting Soulbound by Grimstroke can set up a kill, but Dragon Knight isn't always the ideal executioner. The main combo is a copied Dragon Tail, which forces Dragon Knight to get into melee range or land a slow projectile while in his ultimate form. This often proves less reliable than pairing Grimstroke with heroes who have instant, long-range lockdown. While Ink Swell on a durable frontliner like Dragon Knight provides a decent initiation, their kits don't really build on each other. Dragon Knight wants to be a tower-sieging physical damage dealer, while Grimstroke plays further back with magical burst, and their plans can sometimes feel disconnected in a teamfight.
