Dragon Knight + Silencer

Why this works

Expecting a Global Silence to be a free setup for Dragon Knight is a common trap. The silence does prevent enemies from casting escape spells, giving a slow hero like Dragon Knight time to walk in for a Dragon Tail. The problem is that targets can still use items. A well-timed Force Staff, Glimmer Cape, or Eul's Scepter can easily save someone before the stun lands. This means the combo is less about a guaranteed kill and more about forcing out a defensive cooldown, which is useful but not game-winning on its own.

The success of this pairing often comes down to target selection and timing. Early on, they can coordinate to pick off heroes who rely entirely on spells for survival. Dragon Knight offers a reliable stun and tower push that Silencer lacks, while Silencer can create pickoff opportunities from anywhere on the map. As the game progresses, however, enemy cores will purchase Black King Bars, making the Global Silence less impactful for setting up stuns. The effectiveness really depends on whether the pair can build a lead before their main trick gets countered by simple itemization.
