Drow Ranger + Nature's Prophet

Why this works

Playing for map control with both of these heroes on one team often creates a problem of resource scarcity. Nature's Prophet uses Teleportation to farm aggressively across the map, while Drow Ranger wants to clear her own jungle and the adjacent lane to accelerate her item progression. This means they end up competing for the same farm instead of creating space for one another. In fights, the draft lacks a core component: a durable front line. Drow Ranger needs someone to stand between her and the enemy so she can deal damage, and Nature's Prophet is a squishy hero who prefers to contribute from the sides, not by taking hits.

This lineup feels weak from the mid-game onward. The strategy becomes about trying to split-push and avoid direct confrontation, because any five-on-five engagement is a struggle. The enemy team can group up and force fights, knowing there's no real tank to break through. Without a strong initiator or someone to absorb spells, both Drow Ranger and Nature's Prophet are easily focused and killed. Their combined lack of defensive tools or lockdown makes it very difficult to protect a lead or recover from a disadvantage.
