Drow Ranger + Hoodwink

Why this works

Landing a Bushwhack on an enemy provides a great setup for Drow Ranger to deal damage. In theory, this combination of a long stun and high physical output should secure kills easily. The problem is that both heroes are fragile and need to play from the back line. If an enemy gets on top of Drow Ranger, Hoodwink offers little protection beyond that same stun, which might be on cooldown or impossible to land without a nearby tree. There's also some minor friction, as Drow's Gust can sometimes push enemies away when Hoodwink is trying to set up a stun or channel Sharpshooter.

This pairing creates a draft that heavily relies on the other three heroes to be a durable frontline. Without a tanky core to create space and absorb pressure, aggressive teams can simply run at both Drow Ranger and Hoodwink, shutting down Marksmanship and picking them off. While they excel at kiting and controlling a single focused target, they often fold when faced with multiple gap-closing heroes. Their damage is also almost entirely physical, which allows opponents to counter them both with armor items. The pairing isn't a disaster, but it creates structural weaknesses that are often easy to exploit.
