Drow Ranger + Phoenix

Why this works

Engaging into a fight against this duo feels awkward for the enemy team. Drow Ranger provides a constant slow with Frost Arrows, which makes it easier for Phoenix to land a full-duration Icarus Dive or hit multiple Fire Spirits. This stacking slow effect makes it very difficult for melee heroes to reach either target. When Phoenix commits to Supernova, Drow’s high physical damage is often enough to deter enemies from trying to destroy the egg. Anyone who does try to focus the egg gets slowed and becomes an easy target.

This pairing is strongest during mid-game teamfights where space is critical. Phoenix can dive to initiate, creating a large zone of control with Supernova that forces the enemy team to split their attention. This gives Drow Ranger the time and safety she needs to output damage from the back lines. The synergy isn't overwhelming because it relies on timing. If Drow is caught before Phoenix can use Supernova, or if Phoenix dives too far away from their team, the whole sequence breaks down and they can both be punished for it.
