Earthshaker + Enchantress

Why this works

Looking at the abilities, you might think Fissure provides the perfect setup for Enchantress to land her spears. In practice, their goals often conflict. Earthshaker wants to find a multi-hero stun, grouping enemies together for Echo Slam. Enchantress, on the other hand, wants to maintain maximum distance from a single target to get the most damage from Impetus. The big teamfight initiation Earthshaker provides is a different kind of fight than the spaced-out kiting game that Enchantress wants to play. His Fissure can even accidentally block her from maintaining the perfect range.

As the game unfolds, this disconnect becomes clear. Earthshaker will find his Blink Dagger timing and look for a deep initiation. Enchantress will typically be positioned far in the back, providing heals with Nature's Attendants and poking whichever hero she can safely target. She can't easily follow up on his combo, and his stuns don't offer her anything unique compared to any other stun in the game. They both contribute, but they operate on separate planes, rarely combining their strengths to create an outcome greater than their individual efforts.
