Earthshaker + Muerta

Why this works

Trying to chain stuns on a target can feel awkward with this pairing. Earthshaker provides lockdown that pins enemies in place, letting his team focus them down. Muerta’s Dead Shot, however, inflicts a fear that causes the enemy to run around unpredictably. This displacement can make the target run out of Aftershock range, move parallel to a Fissure instead of being trapped by it, or scatter right before an Echo Slam. The two forms of crowd control don't always combine well, which can lead to missed kills or let enemies escape what should have been a guaranteed death.

This slight mechanical clash can slow down the duo's momentum. Both Earthshaker and Muerta often need a good amount of farm to get their core items online and start making an impact. If they're both competing for safe farm on the map, their crucial timings—like a Blink Dagger for initiation or a first big damage item for Muerta—can get delayed. This creates a window where the enemy team can apply pressure, knowing that neither hero is at full strength. As a result, the game plan feels a bit slower and less cohesive than you'd like.
