Earthshaker + Outworld Destroyer

Why this works

Keeping both heroes farming at a good pace can be a problem. Earthshaker needs a Blink Dagger to get his game going, and Outworld Destroyer needs his own set of core items before he can really contribute to fights. This can create a situation where two important heroes are both trying to find farm on the map at the same time, which often slows down the team’s ability to pressure lanes or take early objectives. While a Fissure is a solid setup for Outworld Destroyer to land his attacks, the two heroes don't always want to be fighting at the same moments.

The success of this pair really comes down to how the mid-game initiation plays out. If Earthshaker finds a good Blink-Echo Slam, the follow-up from Sanity's Eclipse can clean up a fight. However, the whole plan hinges on that initial jump. If Earthshaker gets controlled or dies before he can start the fight, Outworld Destroyer is left in a very awkward spot without his frontliner or setup. The combo can work, but it feels fragile because so much relies on one hero hitting a specific timing and landing a key spell.
