Earthshaker + Phantom Assassin

Why this works

Pairing these two heroes is often a bet on clean initiation. Earthshaker's role is to provide the lockdown that Phantom Assassin needs to connect with her target. A long-range Fissure is an ideal invitation for a Phantom Strike, holding an enemy in place long enough for a few critical hits to land. This gives PA a much safer way to jump on priority heroes without immediately being kited or disabled. In larger fights, Echo Slam can create a similar opening, but the core idea is about creating single-target pickoffs through stuns.

This plan can fall apart if the enemy team is prepared. With good positioning, vision control, or save items like a Glimmer Cape, they can spoil Earthshaker's setups. When this happens, Phantom Assassin is forced to find her own entry points, which is much riskier. The success of this duo then depends on which hero can execute their role better: the Earthshaker landing his stuns or the enemy team successfully playing around them. It is a straightforward plan that can be straightforward to counter.
