Earthshaker + Venomancer

Why this works

Securing objectives or winning early fights is difficult for this lineup because the damage profiles don't align. Earthshaker provides lockdown with Fissure and Echo Slam, setting up a window for a huge burst of damage. Venomancer, on the other hand, deals his damage slowly over time with abilities like Poison Sting and Poison Nova. When Earthshaker lands a perfect initiation, Veno's contribution isn't enough to secure kills on key targets before the stuns wear off. This anti-synergy leaves enemies escaping with low health and the combo feeling weak.

During the mid-game, a Blink Dagger on Earthshaker doesn't create the same pressure it normally would. He can find the initiation, but without a partner to follow up with immediate burst, the enemy team often survives the stun and turns the fight around. Venomancer is left trying to kite and apply poison from the outside, but the initial advantage is already lost. For this duo to work, they need a third hero to provide all the follow-up damage, effectively forcing the draft to compensate for their lack of synergy.
