Ember Spirit + Tiny

Why this works

Playing against this duo often feels less threatening than it looks on paper. Both heroes pack a ton of magic burst, but that shared damage type makes them predictable. A single Pipe of Insight can severely dampen their combined impact. The real issue is their lack of clean setup. Tiny’s Toss can be a problem, often moving a target out of position for Ember Spirit’s Searing Chains or putting them in an awkward spot for a follow-up Sleight of Fist. Instead of a clean kill, you get a messy scramble where their abilities don't quite line up.

This awkwardness defines their game. They might find a pickoff or two early, but coordinated opponents will quickly adapt. As teams start grouping, Ember Spirit and Tiny struggle to find a good initiation. Tiny wants to blink in and blow up a single hero, while Ember wants to hit multiple targets from the edge of the fight. They end up playing two separate games on the same map, competing for farm and failing to enable each other when it matters. The enemy can often survive the initial burst and then turn the fight against a duo with cooldowns and no sustained control.
