Ember Spirit + Venomancer

Why this works

Pairing these two heroes often creates a clash of tempos in teamfights. Ember Spirit wants to find a target and burst them down instantly with a Sleight of Fist combo. Venomancer, on the other hand, wants to drag the fight out, applying his damage-over-time spells and letting enemies slowly wither away. While the slows from Venomous Gale can be helpful, they don't provide the instant, hard lockdown that Ember Spirit truly needs to secure a kill on a slippery opponent before they can react.

This dynamic can lead to disjointed engagements. Venomancer casts Poison Nova to soften up the entire enemy team for a slow siege, but Ember is already looking for his quick in-and-out execution. The combo relies on the enemy team getting low from poison and being unable to disengage, at which point Ember can clean up. More often, the lack of a reliable stun means a priority target can simply use a defensive item or spell to survive the initial damage and reset the fight, leaving your team's plan feeling a step behind.
