Faceless Void + Kunkka

Why this works

Getting caught in a Chronosphere is a problem, but it's the follow-up that makes it truly awkward. The frozen timeframe gives Kunkka a perfect window to land his delayed spells. A well-placed Chronosphere lets him guarantee his Torrent and Ghostship will connect on trapped enemies, adding stuns and area damage to the lockdown. However, this relies entirely on good timing. If Kunkka casts too late, his spells land on empty ground as the Chronosphere ends, completely wasting the opportunity and leaving both heroes with their key abilities on cooldown.

The entire game plan for this duo revolves around that ultimate combination. Before level six, they don't offer each other much. Later on, a fight can turn on a single good Chronosphere that Kunkka is prepared for. The counterplay is straightforward: split up so Faceless Void can't catch your whole team, and fight whenever his ultimate is down. Because the combo is so dependent on timing and a long cooldown, its success isn't consistent, leading to fights that can go either way depending on execution.
