Faceless Void + Primal Beast

Why this works

Dropping a Chronosphere should create the perfect setup, but it often works against Primal Beast. Since the sphere freezes allies, a poorly placed one can trap the beast and completely shut down his Trample damage and ability to Pulverize a key target. The success of this pairing hinges on perfect positioning, where Primal Beast stays outside the bubble and charges in to attack the frozen enemies. This requires a level of coordination that isn't always reliable, making the signature combo from Faceless Void a big risk for his own initiator. Without that careful setup, one hero's ultimate completely negates the other's contribution.

The heroes also tend to operate on different timelines. Primal Beast wants to fight and make space in the mid-game with his aggressive abilities, while Faceless Void typically needs more farm before he can confidently join those engagements. This can lead to awkward situations where Primal initiates a fight but Void isn't ready to commit Chronosphere. If they do get a combo off, using both Pulverize and Chronosphere on a single hero is usually overkill. They can feel like they're playing two separate games, and without tight execution, their plans interfere with each other as often as they help.
