Nature's Prophet + Necrophos

Why this works

Trying to set up a kill with Sprout can actively work against Necrophos. His Heartstopper Aura is a major part of his damage, and trapping an enemy in trees often puts them out of its range. A Sprouted target is also harder to hit with repeated Death Pulses unless Necrophos has a way to get vision or close the gap, which he struggles with. While Nature’s Prophet can hold someone in place for Reaper’s Scythe, the rest of their kits clash in small skirmishes. The lockdown from Nature's Prophet accidentally protects enemies from the sustained damage Necrophos needs to apply before his ultimate becomes lethal.

This conflict extends to the overall game plan. Necrophos thrives by grouping with his team, acting as a durable front-liner who slowly drains the enemy in five-on-five fights. Nature's Prophet excels at splitting the map, applying pressure to multiple lanes at once, and forcing rotations. This leaves the team with a difficult choice: either Nature’s Prophet gives up his global pressure to play a grouped style he isn't suited for, or Necrophos is left trying to frontline for a four-man unit that lacks the extra body and control he needs to survive and win teamfights.
