Nature's Prophet + Phantom Assassin

Why this works

Facing this pair often feels less threatening than it should. Phantom Assassin needs a teammate to lock a target down for her burst, but Nature's Prophet's Sprout is an awkward setup. She has to commit Phantom Strike to get inside the trees, and many enemies can simply cut their way out before she lands enough hits. Both heroes primarily deal single-target physical damage, which makes it straightforward for opponents to itemize with armor or a Ghost Scepter. They don't solve each other's problems; instead, they present a similar, predictable threat.

The game plan for these two heroes rarely aligns. Nature's Prophet uses his global Teleport to farm unoccupied lanes and apply pressure, which often means he's taking resources from a Phantom Assassin who needs them more. When a fight breaks out, PA is looking for an organized clash where she can jump a key target. NP is usually somewhere else on the map, forcing his team into a numbers disadvantage. This dynamic allows opponents to group up, take objectives, and force fights that PA's side can't win.
