Grimstroke + Muerta

Why this works

Securing an early lead for Muerta can be the main challenge with this pairing. On paper, Grimstroke's Soulbind sets up a double-fear from Dead Shot or lets Phantom's Embrace hold two heroes down for Muerta to attack. In practice, this combo isn't always enough to dominate a lane. Muerta lacks her own reliable lockdown to help Grimstroke chain his spells, and she needs a lot of farm to come online as a carry. If the opponents play aggressively, this duo can struggle to create the space Muerta needs, often trading kills back and forth instead of establishing firm control.

The game plan revolves around hitting a mid-game timing with Soulbind. Successful ganks can translate into objectives and accelerate Muerta's item progression, giving her a real chance to take over. However, the pressure is almost entirely on Grimstroke to find these perfect ultimate opportunities. If those fights don't go well, the duo quickly loses momentum. Later on, enemies will have items to counter Soulbind, and Muerta using Pierce the Veil can't be buffed by Grimstroke's Ink Swell, making teamfights feel a little disjointed and dependent on one big spell landing correctly.
