How Grimstroke and Puck perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Grimstroke and Puck win 45.73% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 8,216 matches.
Drafting this pair can feel a little disconnected, as their most powerful spells don't naturally amplify each other. Grimstroke's Soulbind is set up for a big single-target spell to hit two heroes, but Puck's entire kit is based on area-of-effect damage and control. Waning Rift and Illusory Orb are likely to hit both linked targets anyway, so you don't gain much from the combo. Even landing a good Ink Swell is awkward, since Puck is an elusive initiator that prefers to jump in and out, not a front-liner who sits in the middle of a fight. You're left with two good heroes whose abilities don't create something greater than the sum of their parts.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
