Grimstroke + Slark

Why this works

Most players look to pair Grimstroke with big area-of-effect spells, but his real value with Slark comes from turning single-target abilities into double-target ones. When Grimstroke lands Soulbind, Slark's Pounce will leash both tethered enemies. This makes it incredibly difficult for a support to save their core, as they get dragged along for the ride. Ink Swell is also a great setup tool, giving Slark the movement speed to get in position and a stun to hold the target down while he builds up his Essence Shift stacks.

This pairing creates opportunities across the entire game. In the laning stage, an Ink Swelled Slark is a constant gank threat. As the game moves into the mid-game, the Soulbind and Pounce combination forces enemies to play far more separated than they would like. This creates the exact scenario Slark excels in: finding isolated heroes he can pick off while his Shadow Dance is active. The enemy team has to constantly worry about their positioning, which gives your team an easier time controlling the map and finding favorable fights.
