Grimstroke + Techies

Why this works

Landing a Soulbind on two targets opens up some straightforward follow-up for Techies. Grimstroke's ultimate allows a single Sticky Bomb to latch onto both linked heroes, effectively doubling its impact. The leash also keeps them grouped, making it much easier for Techies to land a coordinated Blast Off! or for Grimstroke to follow with his own spells like Stroke of Fate. It's a decent setup for a burst of magic damage on multiple heroes that might otherwise be difficult to coordinate.

This pairing often looks to roam and secure kills together once Grimstroke has his ultimate. The threat of their combo can force the enemy team to play more spread out and cautiously, which creates space. However, the entire play depends on Grimstroke finding a good Soulbind on valuable targets. Experienced opponents will anticipate this and adjust their positioning accordingly. The combo also has long cooldowns, and if the initial burst doesn't secure a kill, both Grimstroke and Techies can find themselves out of position and vulnerable to a counter-initiation.
