How Grimstroke and Treant Protector perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Grimstroke and Treant Protector win 46.08% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 4,881 matches.
Combining ultimates can feel a bit underwhelming with this pair. While Grimstroke's Soulbind can technically set up Treant Protector's Overgrowth, the root is already a massive area-of-effect spell that usually catches multiple heroes anyway. Soulbind gets its best value from duplicating powerful single-target abilities, and Treant's kit doesn't really offer one; Leech Seed is okay, but it's not a fight-winning spell to double up. The most reliable interaction is often casting Ink Swell on Treant to help him get a better Overgrowth, but that's a setup that works with many initiators. They don't have a core conflict, but their big spells don't amplify each other effectively.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
