Grimstroke + Undying

Why this works

The laning phase can feel quite difficult against this pair. Undying applies pressure with Decay and Tombstone zombies, and Grimstroke adds another layer of slows and damage with Stroke of Fate. A well-timed Ink Swell stun can hold enemies in place long enough for zombies to connect and overwhelm them. Later on, Soulbind offers some potential to amplify Undying’s spellcasting, linking two enemies to make it harder for them to manage the chaos from a big Tombstone fight or escape the constant strength drain.

This early lane pressure often lets the duo secure the enemy tower and open up that side of the map ahead of schedule. From there, Grimstroke and Undying can look to force fights around other objectives while their own cores farm safely. The main weakness is that both heroes can be vulnerable if caught out of position. Enemies will try to exploit this by ganking the lane early or looking for pickoffs on them during rotations. Splitting the pair up is usually the most effective way to reduce their combined threat.
