Grimstroke + Ursa

Why this works

Facing down a Soulbound pair of heroes feels like a death sentence. When Grimstroke links two targets, an empowered Ursa can shred them both at the same time, applying his Fury Swipes to each with every attack. A well-timed Ink Swell on a diving Ursa can also provide the perfect setup stun for him to get his rampage started. This combination promises to turn Ursa's focused, single-target damage into a teamfight-winning cleave, letting him tear through one hero and get the second for free.

In practice, though, this dream scenario relies on a lot of things going right. Experienced opponents will play spread out, making it difficult for Grimstroke to land a good Soulbind in the first place. Even if he does, Ursa still has to get into melee range and stay there, which is his classic problem. The combo is at its best when Ursa already has the items he needs to start a fight, like a Blink Dagger. The lane simply helps him convert his own advantages, but it doesn't solve his fundamental weakness of being kited.
