Hoodwink + Jakiro

Why this works

Facing this pair often feels more annoying than deadly. Hoodwink and Jakiro both bring plenty of slows and damage over time, but they lack a reliable way to turn that pressure into a kill. Their stuns are awkward to combine; Ice Path is a delayed line, while Bushwhack requires a nearby tree and has a different shape. In larger fights, their signature spells can even work against each other. A fully charged Sharpshooter will push an enemy right out of Jakiro’s Macropyre, negating its damage.

This fundamental disconnect defines the game. Hoodwink is an agile skirmisher who plays from the flanks near trees, while Jakiro is a slow, methodical caster who wants to control the front line. Without a strong initiator or another source of burst damage to capitalize on their control, they struggle to make things happen. Opponents can often exploit this by separating them, either bursting down the slow-moving Jakiro or catching Hoodwink away from her team. They each end up fighting their own battle instead of one cohesive fight.
