How Hoodwink and Necrophos perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Hoodwink and Necrophos win 49.03% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 72,685 matches.
Deciding how to best protect a Necrophos pick often leads you to Hoodwink. Necrophos is a natural magnet for enemy aggression but has no way to escape on his own. Teams will try to jump and burst him before he can have an impact. This is where Hoodwink provides a crucial layer of defense; a well-aimed Bushwhack can stun the divers, giving Necrophos the critical seconds needed to use Ghost Shroud or get a Death Pulse heal. This simple peel allows Necrophos to survive the initial onslaught, sustain through the fight, and ultimately find a target for Reaper's Scythe. Hoodwink creates breathing room for a hero that desperately needs it.
