Hoodwink + Riki

Why this works

Picking these two heroes is a bet on coordinated ganks that leverage tree-line vision. Hoodwink offers the long-range initiation and lockdown that Riki lacks. A successful Bushwhack from the trees can hold a target in place, giving Riki the opening he needs to Blink Strike in and apply his full damage combo. Because Riki often plays around tree cover anyway, he's frequently in the right place to follow up on Hoodwink's stun. The setup isn't guaranteed, but it creates a consistent threat against any hero caught out of position near the woods.

This pairing is strongest during the mid-game, where you can control the map by hunting for isolated heroes. Hoodwink finds the angle, lands the stun, and Riki secures the kill under the cover of his Smoke Screen. This forces the enemy to play defensively, group up earlier than they might want, and spend resources on sentry wards to cover jungle paths. The enemy's best response is to force fights in open spaces like the river or cleared lanes, where Hoodwink has no trees for her Bushwhack and is easier to catch.
