Hoodwink + Techies

Why this works

Setting up a gank often feels awkward. The ideal combo involves Techies landing a Sticky Bomb to slow a target, allowing Hoodwink to more easily find a Bushwhack stun near a tree. This can hold an enemy in place for a Proximity Mine to detonate. The problem is that both heroes are casting from a distance, and their spells have delays. A mobile enemy can often dodge one piece of the puzzle, causing the entire sequence to fall apart. Neither hero offers the kind of reliable, instant lockdown the other needs to guarantee their damage.

Throughout the game, this duo relies on the enemy making a mistake. Hoodwink and Techies try to create overlapping threat zones with trees and mines, but these areas are often separate. A fight might see Hoodwink land a great stun, but it's too far from the minefield for Techies to contribute. Conversely, an enemy might trigger mines when Hoodwink is too far away or lacks vision to follow up with Sharpshooter. Their success often feels more like a coincidence than a coordinated plan.
