Hoodwink + Templar Assassin

Why this works

Building armor against this pair feels very effective. Templar Assassin deals almost exclusively physical damage with her Psi Blades and Meld strikes, while Hoodwink also contributes a lot of physical output through Acorn Shot. This heavy focus on one damage type allows enemies to itemize efficiently, since stacking armor counters the main threat from both heroes. Without a strong source of magical damage to force different item choices from the opponent, key targets can become very difficult to kill once they have defensive items online.

The game plan often relies on Hoodwink landing a Bushwhack to set up a quick kill for Templar Assassin. While this can secure early ganks, the strategy loses steam as enemies get tankier and start moving as a team. In a full teamfight, the pair doesn't cover each other's weaknesses well. TA needs to blink aggressively, but Hoodwink has no reliable way to save her if she gets locked down. Likewise, Templar Assassin can't do much to peel for a Hoodwink who gets caught, leaving them both vulnerable when their hit-and-run approach fails.
