How Hoodwink and Treant Protector perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Hoodwink and Treant Protector win 42.95% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 10,466 matches.
Pairing these two tree-focused heroes can feel a bit redundant in practice. Both Hoodwink and Treant Protector want to play from the same treeline positions to be effective, which often leads to awkward spacing in teamfights. While a root from Treant can certainly set up a nice Bushwhack, the combo frequently lacks the immediate damage to finish the job. After the initial control wears off, the target often has a window to escape because Treant provides little offensive follow-up himself. This leaves Hoodwink shouldering the entire damage burden for the pickoff. They end up competing for the same space without covering each other's core weaknesses.
