Hoodwink + Troll Warlord

Why this works

Setting up a long Bushwhack stun for Troll Warlord seems like an obvious way to win fights. In practice, the combo is less reliable than it looks on paper. Hoodwink needs trees to land her stun, but Troll often wants to fight in the open river or push into the enemy base. Their preferred fight patterns also clash. Hoodwink plays from the edges, looking for spell opportunities, while Troll Warlord wants to run straight at a target and commit completely. This can lead to awkward engagements where one hero is all-in and the other is not.

In the lane, a well-placed Bushwhack can certainly set up a kill for Troll. As the game progresses and fights break out in less favorable terrain, Hoodwink's setup becomes inconsistent. When Troll Warlord uses Battle Trance, he needs his team to control the space around his target. Hoodwink doesn't provide the frontline presence or defensive saves that enable this aggression. She can contribute a Sharpshooter break from afar, but the heroes often feel like they're fighting separate battles instead of working together.
