Hoodwink + Venomancer

Why this works

Struggling to secure kills together often slows down the whole team's momentum. Hoodwink needs a hard setup for her Bushwhack stun, but Venomancer's slows aren't precise enough to lock a target next to a tree. Hoodwink's burst damage from Acorn Shot is also at odds with Venomancer's slow-acting poisons, which need time to take full effect. One hero wants to end the fight immediately, while the other wants to grind it out, and their kits provide little help for each other's goals.

This lack of a shared plan makes it hard to take objectives. In the mid-game, Venomancer is good at setting up a slow siege with Plague Wards, but Hoodwink would rather be hunting for kills elsewhere on the map. During teamfights, their priorities are split; Venomancer is trying to hit as many heroes as possible with Poison Nova, while Hoodwink is looking for a clean Sharpshooter shot on a key backliner. This lets the enemy team dictate the pace of the fight, as they only have to deal with one hero's threat at a time instead of a coordinated assault.
