Jakiro + Mirana

Why this works

Trying to set up a kill in lane often feels clumsy. Mirana's Sacred Arrow needs a target to be held still for it to land reliably from a distance, but Jakiro's Ice Path has its own cast delay. It's very difficult to chain them together; you either use Ice Path first and hope the enemy walks into the Arrow, or you land a great Arrow and Jakiro's follow-up feels a bit slow and redundant. Both heroes bring area control and some lockdown, but their abilities don't layer on top of each other effectively.

This problem continues into the mid-game. Jakiro wants to control large areas with Macropyre and slows, forcing enemies to reposition. Mirana wants to pick off a specific hero who is out of position or isolated. Their game plans don't align well. Without a different hero providing instant, reliable lockdown, Mirana can struggle to find openings, and Jakiro's damage-over-time spells aren't bursty enough to finish what a solo Arrow starts. The result is a pairing that often feels like it's fighting two separate battles instead of one.
