How Jakiro and Tiny perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Jakiro and Tiny win 43.85% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 15,031 matches.
Setting up kills with Jakiro's lockdown for Tiny seems straightforward, but the combo often falls apart. The core issue is Toss. A good Ice Path or a full-duration Macropyre gets completely ruined if Tiny tosses the target out of the area of effect. For the spells to line up properly, the execution has to be perfect, but the more common instinct is to toss the stunned target, which actively works against what Jakiro wants to do. The two heroes are constantly fighting over positioning the enemy.
Across the game, this awkwardness adds up. Both heroes are slow and burn through mana quickly, so a failed attempt is very punishing in lane. Later, since both Tiny and Jakiro rely so heavily on magical burst, the enemy team can shut them down with shared magic resistance from an item like a Pipe of Insight. If their initial spells don't secure the kill, they lack the mobility to chase, letting targets get away that other pairings would have finished off.
