Keeper of the Light + Lion

Why this works

Picking these two supports together can feel like a solid plan for controlling the early game. Keeper of the Light offers a near-endless supply of mana with Chakra Magic, and Lion is one of the most mana-starved heroes on the map. In theory, this allows Lion to use his disables like Earth Spike and Hex much more aggressively from the very start, creating pressure that other support duos might struggle to match. The constant threat of lockdown is supposed to shut down the enemy lane and create space for the rest of the team.

In practice, the combination can be a bit awkward. Both heroes are fragile and want to play from the back lines, which can create positioning problems. While Keeper of the Light can use Chakra Magic on Lion, it often means he isn't using it on a core who needs mana to farm, or on himself to push out a dangerous lane with Illuminate. Their lockdown can also be redundant or difficult to chain; a long Illuminate channel gives opponents plenty of time to reposition before Lion can get in range. The result is a pairing that looks good on paper but doesn't have a clear, reliable advantage.
