Why this works

Giving Ogre Magi a steady supply of mana with Chakra Magic allows him to be far more aggressive than usual. Instead of conserving his pool for a key Fireblast, he can constantly harass opponents and use his stun whenever it's off cooldown. The cooldown reduction from Chakra Magic further amplifies this, letting him control the lane tempo. For his part, Keeper of the Light gets a durable frontliner who can easily peel for him, creating the space and time needed to channel a full Illuminate. This pairing helps solve the primary resource constraints that can hold Ogre back in the early game.

This lane advantage can translate into a stronger mid-game. Keeper of the Light pushes out waves from a safe distance, creating map pressure that Ogre Magi can’t generate on his own. In teamfights, the synergy continues with Chakra Magic reducing the cooldown on Bloodlust, increasing its uptime on your cores. While the enemy team can still try to isolate and burst the squishy Keeper, the constant stuns and slows from a well-funded Ogre make that a difficult task.
