Keeper of the Light + Slark

Why this works

Picking Keeper of the Light with a Slark often hinges on solving a single problem. Slark’s effectiveness relies on constantly using Dark Pact and Pounce to farm and fight, but his mana pool is notoriously small. Chakra Magic provides a steady stream of mana, allowing him to stay active on the map far longer than he normally could. This means Slark spends less time returning to base and more time building Essence Shift stacks, accelerating his farm and applying pressure without needing to ferry consumables.

This translates to a Slark that hits his core items faster and is always ready for a skirmish. However, the direct synergy is mostly limited to this mana battery role. Keeper of the Light offers very little lockdown to help Slark secure a Pounce, and his abilities are not ideal for saving a Slark who gets caught out. While a well-timed Blinding Light can cause some chaos, the heroes don't build on each other's strengths in a teamfight beyond the initial mana sustain, which is why the pairing is only a minor improvement.
