Kez + Windranger

Why this works

Facing this lineup often feels manageable as long as your team sticks together. Both Kez and Windranger excel at isolating and bursting down a single opponent—Kez as an up-close duelist, and Windranger with her long-range Focus Fire. The problem is that their roles overlap without providing much backup for each other. This leaves the rest of their draft needing to supply all the area-of-effect damage and teamfight control, which is a heavy burden and rarely works out well in practice.

As the game progresses, the Kez and Windranger side is desperate to find solo pick-offs, while the enemy team can comfortably group as five and pressure objectives. In a full teamfight, this duo can usually delete one hero, but they struggle to handle the remaining enemies, especially against lineups with strong area damage or multiple tanky heroes. Their game plan relies entirely on splitting the map, whereas the opposing team's path to victory is often as simple as forcing a direct confrontation.
