Kunkka + Viper

Why this works

Playing to lock down a single target can feel a bit redundant with this pair. Kunkka provides a precise setup with X Marks the Spot into his Torrent and Ghostship, creating a window for heavy burst. Viper, however, specializes in sustained damage and slows, not the kind of explosive follow-up that makes the most of Kunkka's combo. Viper Strike offers lockdown, but it's often overkill when X Marks the Spot has already guaranteed the target's position. They both control enemies, but their abilities don't combine to create something greater than their individual effects.

This dynamic often results in a split focus across the map. Viper excels at claiming a lane, applying constant pressure, and daring enemies to fight inside his Nethertoxin. Kunkka, meanwhile, prefers more proactive rotations to set up kills. Their ideal game plans can pull the team in different directions. When they do group up, their contributions don't always magnify each other effectively. They can certainly win fights, but the pairing can lack the focused pressure that comes from two kits that directly amplify one another's strengths.
