Legion Commander + Muerta

Why this works

Winning a Duel is much easier when Muerta is standing by to help. Legion Commander provides the long, guaranteed lockdown on a key enemy, creating a stationary target. Muerta can then activate Pierce the Veil and unload a huge amount of magic damage with her attacks, which pairs nicely with Legion's own physical output. This mixed damage profile makes it almost impossible for the victim to survive, since they can't itemize effectively against both. Muerta’s The Calling can also zone other enemies away or even set up the initial catch, helping ensure the Duel goes uninterrupted.

Once Legion Commander gets her Blink Dagger, the duo can start actively hunting across the map. The play is simple: Legion blinks in for a Duel, and Muerta provides the finishing burst damage. This forces opponents to play much more cautiously and stick together, which can give your team significant map control. The enemy's main recourse is to try and burst Muerta down before she can get her damage off, or use saves on heroes near the Duel to prevent a dogpile. The strategy relies on two big ultimate cooldowns, but it's consistent and creates a clear win condition.
