Legion Commander + Pangolier

Why this works

Trying to set up a Duel with a Pangolier on your team can feel like a gamble. A well-aimed Rolling Thunder can isolate a perfect target for Legion Commander to jump on, and Swashbuckle provides good follow-up damage to help secure the duel victory. However, the chaotic nature of Pangolier's ultimate can just as easily knock the ideal enemy away or push defenders into the fight, saving their ally from the challenge. The setup requires a level of precision that isn't always available in a fast-paced fight, making the outcome unreliable.

This pairing lives or dies on coordination. When the two players are in sync, Pangolier can serve up kills that get Legion Commander's damage snowball rolling early. But more often, the heroes operate on different wavelengths. Legion wants to find clean pickoffs with a Blink Dagger initiation, preferring an isolated fight. Pangolier excels by creating messy, drawn-out brawls where he can bounce between multiple targets. Since their ideal fights don't always align, their combined impact can feel powerful in one game and completely disjointed in the next.
