Legion Commander + Spirit Breaker

Why this works

Putting these two heroes on the same team provides a clear plan for finding pickoffs across the map. Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness is an excellent tool for initiating on an isolated target, giving Legion Commander time to arrive and cast Duel. Once the Duel is active, Spirit Breaker's own stuns from Greater Bash and Nether Strike can help hold the target in place, making it more likely that Legion Commander secures the kill and the bonus damage. This helps LC get a much stronger start than she might otherwise, especially against mobile heroes who are normally difficult to lock down.

This ganking duo is strongest in the early and mid-game, forcing opponents to play defensively and stick together. The strategy's effectiveness tends to fall off if the enemy team groups up early, as both Legion Commander and Spirit Breaker are primarily single-target heroes. Without strong area-of-effect abilities, they can struggle against a coordinated five-hero push. Their combined plan is predictable, and while it's effective at punishing mistakes, it has a clear and well-known counter, which keeps the pairing from feeling overwhelmingly strong.
